ELBERTON, Ga. — Authorities are investigating a fatal dirt bike crash that claimed the life of 28-year-old Worley Lorenzo Robinson following a single-vehicle accident in Athens-Clarke County on May 16, 2026.

According to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, officers responded around 1:55 p.m. to the area of Whit Davis Road and Pettit Lane after reports of a serious crash involving a dirt bike. Investigators said Robinson was operating a 2012 Suzuki RM-Z450L traveling northbound when the crash occurred. No other vehicles were involved.

Emergency responders located Robinson with critical injuries and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he later died on May 18, 2026, despite lifesaving efforts.

Police confirmed the crash remains under active investigation as accident reconstruction teams review roadway conditions, witness statements, and other evidence to determine the factors that contributed to the collision.
